To kick off the weekends right we'll be letting you know what our staff and customers are currently lusting over and why those pieces are so special . Susan Davis, store owner, picked this week's piece, the Aztec Images necklace. The green bead is a traditional, hexagonal design that is handcarved of Soochow jade or serpentine. A tiny Victorian button dating between 1880-1910 varies between brass, cut steel, and pewter, making each pendant unique. The button sits atop an African Jade donut and set in a fleur di lis finding designed especially for Grandmother's Buttons. Susan loves wearing it with a simple top and a pair of jeans, but add a matching pair of earrings or a brass cuff and you're dressed up for an evening out.
