Merry Christmas from Grandmother's Buttons

Just what you'd expect from Grandmother's Buttons - a collection of Susan's favorite Christmas buttons together with a personal note from her!

The little boy with the jack-in-the-box and the holly with the cut steel berries date from the 1880s-90s.

Others are vintage circa 1920-50, like the Santa enamel from India and the studio button handmade with a church Christmas card and a watch crystal.  The ceramic Santa and gingerbread button are new.

The endearing elf button man was made years ago by my friend Lisa Allen, a compatriot from my earliest craft show days in the late 1980s.  He's been on my tree for at least 20 Christmases now.

As we prepare for our own family Christmas, we wish you and your's the peace and joy that this season brings.
