Vintage Cigar Boxes - Amazing Display Ideas from Grandmother's Buttons

All retailers know - great display is frequently as responsible for sales as the items being sold.  If you can catch your customer's eye, more than half the battle is over, right?

At Grandmother's Buttons we decided to take the guesswork out of displaying our gorgeous one-of-a-kind rings at the same time that we followed our passion for "upcycling" vintage finds. 

We've been having a great time haunting our favorite flea markets and the web not only for antique buttons but for vintage cigar boxes to turn into these one-of-a-kind counter top ring display boxes.  And in the hunt, we've found much older cigar boxes (1920s and earlier) than we expected! 

We are really enthused about coming up with more and more of these vintage item displays.  For the January gift shows we'll have packages of our antique button sterling rings in Art Deco candy boxes--lidded tin "chests" printed with lovely, colorful designs and filled with a dozen rings.  We'll also have a package of antique button earring styles on a tree we're making with a wooden fabric mill spool, a candle holder and wire "branches."

If you're a retailer, remember that all these new displays are wonderful eye catchers in their own right and also wordlessly transmit that our pieces are made with vintage elements.  And as always, we're taking everyday items and turning them into something we think your customers will find irresistible and breathtaking!

The cigar boxes are delivered to retailers filled with 14 rings - either antique button adjustable-size rings or vintage glass ones or an assortment of each.  When you order a filled ring box, the display box is our gift to you.  

We have three cigar box display options available:
Antique Button Adjustable Rings in Box  - Each antique button is set on a donut of metal or natural stone (onyx, poppy jasper, amazonite, olive jade, amethyst, yellow jade, green aventurine).
Vintage Glass Adjustable Rings in Box  - Glass cabochons were made circa 1920-50 in Czechoslovakia, Germany or Japan.
